Pedal To End Cancer Thank You!

This has been a record-breaking year for Total Fitness Clubs for both participation and raising money for the American Cancer Society and Total Fitness would like to extend our appreciation and gratitude to all the participants who contributed to the success of this great cause. We're especially proud of Total Fitness Member Andrea Alexander who was the Top 'Pedal to End Cancer 2014' Fundraiser in all of New England, for raising $8,250!"

Thomas J. Guinta Memorial 5K - Total Fitness Team

Our Total Fitness team will be running to help raise funds for the Thomas J. Guinta Memorial Scholarship. Let us celebrate Thomas's memory April 6th along with, the men and women of the Fall River Police Department. All proceeds from the 5k will go to benefit his scholarship fund. The Total Fitness team will meet at 11:30am in front of the Bank St. Armory. Bring your Total Fitness shirts or purchase one from Swansea Total Fitness for only $5 between now and 4/6/14.

Bristol Total Fitness Blood Drive

Bristol Total Fitness is hosting a Blood Drive for the Rhode Island Blood Center. The blood center distributes blood products to hospitals in Rhode Island and Southern New England. Don't forget to bring your drivers license or another form of ID when you donate. For your generous donation, you will receive a FREE Shake.

Fitness Revival w/ Dawn CasellaFitness Revival with Dawn Casella

Are you sick of going through the circuit #1-10 every week? Do you want to do more but think group classes will be too much for you? Do you enjoy working out with others of the same fitness level as you? Have you been away for a while and need a jump start? Fitness Revival is designed to step up your workout by incorporating basic strength training and cardiovascular training. Nutrition and proper stretching technique will also be incorporated into the 6 week training program. This class will guide you through the steps to get to the next level of fitness. Group training is designed as a more affordable way to get the training you need to progress your workout safely.

Introduction to the Pilates Reformer with Dawn Casella

Join Dawn for a 6 week Introduction to the Pilates Reformer designed to teach you the basics to prep you for group classes. Perfect for anyone that's never done Pilates Reformer or anyone who might want to review the basics. This workshop is equal to the 3 privates needed before being able to take group reformer classes as long as you complete the 6 weeks.

Pilates Mix Workshop with Dawn Casella

The session will start off with the classical essential exercises on the reformer then followed by a circuit using equipment like the cadillac, chair, lateral barrel, TRX, gliders and bands. This workshop will help create long lean muscles while improving flexibility and core strength. Previous Pilates reformer experience is required.

Hurricane Training with Erin Carr

Join Erin for this 8 week program where you will burn fat, build muscle, and feel great! You will receive two group sessions per week, with nutritional advice. Metabolic strength training sessions that will bring you to the next level. Erin will also provide you with a workout for non-meeting days. Goal Setting + Accountability = Results!

Total Fitness for Women with Tammy Kappes

Total Fitness for Women is an 8-week group training program under the supervision of our certified personal trainer, Tammy Kappes. The program is for women of all fitness levels who have a desire to be the best they can possibly be. Learn how to make your workouts more effective with workouts tailored to your needs and goals. Accountability and support from your trainer and group will help you reach your goals. Tammy will provide each participant with written workouts to follow outside training times, nutrition guidance for pre and post workout meals, and biweekly weigh ins and measurements to keep your progress on track.

8 Weeks to a 5K with Jennifer Brown

Have you ever run a 5K? Would you like to finish one? Members that Inspire Us


Nancy Orlando has been a member of Bristol Total Fitness since December 2012. She began her fitness journey by getting involved in our 6 Weeks To Wellness Progam. Once the program ended, Nancy joined and has kept up with her daily exercise. She always participates in Dawn Casella's "Fitness Revival" and encourages her friends to sign up for many Bristol Total Fitness workshops. Nancy also trains one on one personal training session with Dawn, to intensify her personal workouts and increase her fitness level. Way to go Nancy, and keep up the awesome work!
 
Kelly Pelissier joined Swansea Total Fitness in June of 2013. Since joining she has replaced 15 lbs of fat with healthy, strong muscle. Kelly has stayed accountable to her wokouts and feels great. She could have gone to a less expensive gym but knows that she would not have stayed motivated and consistent. Kelly says "It's the people that bring me to the gym. Kevin, the staff, my friends, old neighbors, scout families, the ladies I say hi to in the locker room, they are all the perks of a gym membership that bring me back at least 3 times a week." Thank you and congratulations Kelly! 
 
Kelly McVerry joined Seekonk Total Fitness in July of 2013 & Melisa Tavares joined in September of 2013. They have been friends for only a year but you would never know! They push and motivate each other like lifetime friends. Both have always lived a healthy lifestyle and Kelly even participated in the Jay Cutler Classic NPC in 2011. They are in the gym 5-6 days a week along with their significant others. Outside of the gym they enjoy spending time with family and friends, jumping on the Harley Davidson, relaxing at the beach and of course some retail therapy!
 
Sandy Forand has been a member of Dartmouth Total Fitness since our opening, 4 years ago. Sandy started working with Personal Trainer Erin Carr a year ago. Within a year she has completed her first Father’s Day 10K, Cox Providence ½ Marathon, and this years New Bedford ½ Marathon. She attributes her success to training with Erin. She noted that getting comfortable in the routine helps tremendously. “It builds confidence. You know that you are doing it right. It also helps to have a little push.” Thank you, Sandy, we are excited to see what you take on next!
