Pedal To End Cancer

Pedal to End Cancer, formerly Spin for Hope, is a three hour SPINNING event taking the place simultaneously at participating health clubs around New England. 100% of the contributions go directly to the American Cancer Society!

Participants can register as individuals, or form a team of two or more. Individuals are encouraged (but not required) to raise a minimum of $300. Participants sharing a bike are encouraged to raise a minimum of $100 each.

Sugar Shakedown with Adriana Ferns

End the vicious circle of yo-yo diets and unhealthy patterns! For 12 weeks this program will help clean out the sugar from your body and help stop those carb cravings as well as craving those sweets. Meal plans, a grocery list, workouts and weekly weigh-ins/body fat measurements will be given throughout the program. With the support from Adriana and fellow participants, you will work and learn how to eat, live and maintain a healthy lifestyle. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Tough Mudder Training Camp with Adriana Ferns

Ready to tackle a new and exciting goal this year? This is it! This 8 week workshop will prepare you for the Tough Mudder taking place in June 2015. You will be simulating the Tough Mudder obstacle course to help get you ready and nutrition guidance will be given to those who need it. (This class may transition to Colt State Park later in the season, weather permitting) (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Leap Into February Jumpboard with Erin Ward

Total body warm-up and core conditioning using the reformer jumpboard. The class will provide footwork, leg toning, stabilization work for the shoulders, spine, and pelvis, as well as cardiovascular endurance. It will also include light hand weights at times. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Focus: Your Back with Erin Ward

Say goodbye to back pain! This is a program offered to anyone who either experiences chronic back pain and/or is looking to strengthen the muscles that support the spine. This beginner workshop will focus on five exercises for four weeks. Participants will learn to shift the focus from the front muscles generally overused to the larger muscles of the posterior chain. This will in turn build strength, improve flexibility, correct poor movement patterns, stabilize the spine and improve posture. (Limited to 4 participants)

Prana Flow All Levels Yoga with Leanne Arsenault

Students will be encourage to explore the flow of movement and breath while honoring their own energetic and physical states. Sequences in this class will be built to physically prepare students to explore more challenging asanas and to connect mind-body-breath into one practice. This workshop will provide personalized attention within a small comfortable setting. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Mindful Yoga Series with Laura Giannotti

Fitness Challenge Total Fitness for Women with Stacia Abdow

Total Fitness for Women is an 8-week group training program under the supervision of our certified personal trainer, Stacia Abdow. The program is for women of all fitness levels who have a desire to be the best they can possibly be. Learn how to make your workouts more effective with workouts tailored to your needs and goals. Accountability and support from your trainer and group will help you reach your goals. Stacia will provide each participant with written workouts to follow outside training times, nutrition guidance for pre and post workout meals, and biweekly weigh ins and measurements to keep your progress on track. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Rock Your Resolution with Stacia Abdow

Stacia’s weight-loss challenge is a 8 week program to keep participants accountable to their New Year's Resolutions. The workout will be designed to be high intensity interval training. Let's keep those heart rates up and burn some major calories! (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Spin Yourself Thin with Sue Adams

This 8 week weight-loss program will include a 1/2 hour of weight training followed by a 1/2 hour private spin class. Each participant will receive a nutrition plan and counseling, along with weekly weigh-ins to record pounds and body fat loss. Sue will be available for any questions you may have 24/7. Let 2015 be your year to accomplish your weight-loss goals! (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Finish Strong: Train for a Half Marathon with Lizzie Newton

This 10 week workshop will help prepare you for the Cox Providence Half Marathon Sunday, May 3rd. The training will consist of distance runs, intervals, hills and strength training to help you succeed faster and stronger! You will be encouraged to participate in the St. Pat's 5k on March 21st to see how your training is coming along. Whether this is your first or fifth race, Lizzie will give you the tools to cross the finish line. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

The Runner's Edge with Chris Raymond

This 8 week program combines strength and mobility training to get your body ready for this year's road race and obstacle courses. Participants will receive full body strength training workouts designed for runners, cyclists, and swimmers, including lower body, hip stabilization techniques and core strength training. Mobility training is included to prevent overuse injuries and increase performance. Individuals will also receive personalized mileage programs based on their abilities and weekly goals. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Drop 2 Pants Size Challenge with Chris Raymond

This 8 week program individuals will meet twice a week. Your first session will consist of a full body cardiovascular workout and the second a muscular endurance workout. The rules are simple; the most pants sizes loss will win the challenge. Winner will receive 5 half hour training sessions and the runner up will receive 5 protein shake card. A waist to hip ratio will be used as well for tie breakers! (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Tuff Training with Jenn Brown

Whether you want to run obstacle course races or just have a body that looks like you do, this training is for you! During this 8 week program Jenn will train you to move your body through outdoor terrain. Run, leap, push, pull and crawl your way through nature’s obstacles in Haines Park (weather permitted), as you prepare for the Tuff Scrambler on May 16th (optional). (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Members that Inspire Us

David Vargas has been a member of Bristol Total Fitness since March 2014. David says, what influenced him the most to join, aside from wanting to lose weight, was his kids. He wants to be able to keep up with them. Since joining David has lost 40lbs, his goal now is to lose another 20lbs and to be able complete a 5k. When David is not in the gym training three times a week, he is usually busy with his boat manufacturing business and kids. Congratulations David, your hard work has not gone unnoticed. Keep up the good work!


Kevin Silva has been a member of Swansea Total Fitness since June 2004 and Katie Bednarzik has been a member since December 2013. Katie and Kevin love working out together, they find the key to their motivation is each other. It is important to them to be as active as possible, whether it is going to the gym, running, hiking or biking. Kevin and Katie workout at least four times a week, with their favorite workout - leg day! Their goals for 2015 are to be better than they were in 2014 and continue to motivate each other to be the best they can be in every aspect in life. Thank you Katie and Kevin for being an inspiration to us all! Keep up the good work!


Gordon and Luiza Goncalves have been members at Seekonk Total Fitness since February 2014. They came to Total Fitness with goals of getting healthier, gaining muscle, and getting fit. Gordon and Luiza have been active and have always eaten healthy. It was after Luiza had surgery on her knee two years ago with a year of recovery that they decided to get back on track. With the help of personal trainer Kevin Levesque Gordon and Luiza were able to achieve their goals and more. Outside of the gym they enjoy bike riding and spending time with their grandchildren. Gordon and Luiza, you both look awesome! Keep up the great work!


Keith Abdow has been a member of Dartmouth Total Fitness since April of 2014. He works out 6 days a week, first thing in the morning. Keith has now lost 61lbs and lost 6 inches from his waist. When at the gym, he likes rowing, the stationary bike and weight lifting. Keith says, “Try hard everyday, and do the best that you can”. “What a rush, I’m very happy; also, very proud of all the members, especially the handicap, hats off to them!” Keith loves all the staff “What a wonderful service they provide for all the members; this gym is a family, and the best place to go, hands down!” Congratulations Keith and keep up the good work!
