Pedal To End Cancer

Pedal to End Cancer, formerly Spin for Hope, is a three hour SPINNING event taking place simultaneously at participating health clubs around New England. 100% of the contributions go directly to the American Cancer Society!

This is really just a giant Spin Party for a great cause! With over 80 participants last year, Total Fitness raised almost $60,000 for the ACS through this event!

Complimentary Movement Screenings

Dr. Moore and Dr. Aunkst will be offering complimentary movement screens with associated soft tissue treatments. Each participant can expect to be screened and treated accordingly. The Drs. will spend roughly 10-15 minutes with each participant. Members can expect to gain a further understanding of their biomechanical strengths and weaknesses to build upon, along with therapeutic soft tissue work to be performed. Members are encouraged to bring their questions and concerns on their current level of physical performance!

Fit Club with Dave Parker

Join Dave for this 8-week program that will help you gain strength and endurance. Group training high intensity and conditioning workouts will include a variety of equipment such as: ropes, kettlebells, sleds and more. Fitness gains will be measured by comparing weights and times from previous workouts. Dave will encourage you to push yourself! Know it won't be easy, but it will be worth it. (min. 3 max. 10 participants)

Total Fitness Weight Loss Challenge with Dave Parker

Ready to lose weight? Create a healthier you with this 8-week weight-loss challenge. Dave will give you all the tools, information and nutritional coaching you will need to lose weight and keep it off for good. As part of the challenge, you will enjoy the camaraderie of group training along with a one-on-one training session each week to keep you accountable and committed. Fight Circuit with Dave Parker

Bring out your inner fighter by training like a champion! This unique type of 8-week training will improve your overall fitness. Dave will combine a mix of boxing and wrestling techniques along with strength conditioning. Looking for a different way to train? This group training will definitely get you out of your comfort zone. (Please note: there will be no actual fighting.(min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Fit Happens with Dave Parker

If you are someone that likes variety, then this is the group training for you! Join Dave for this H.I.I.T. (High Intensity Interval Training) workout that will include a variety of equipment. The combination of circuit style training with metabolic conditioning will maximize your results to bring you to the next level of fitness.

Mix It Up with Dawn Casella

Tuff Conditioning with Adriana Ferns

This 8-week program is designed to prepare participants for obstacle races. Adriana's workouts will consist of running with body weight exercises including plyometrics, agility and basic strength. Do you enjoy intense workouts, the camaraderie of group training or are you trying to get off a plateau? This is the workout for you! All ages and fitness levels welcome. (min. 3 max. 10 participants)

Intro to the Pilates Reformer with Dawn Casella

TRX Suspension Training with Adriana Ferns

Total Fitness for Women with Stacia Abdow

Total Fitness for Women is an 8-week group-training program under the supervision of our certified personal trainer, Stacia Abdow. The program is for women of all fitness levels who have a desire to be the best they can possibly be. Learn how to make your workouts more effective with workouts tailored to your needs and goals. Accountability and support from your trainer and group will help you reach your goals. Stacia will provide each participant with written workouts to follow outside training times, nutrition guidance for pre and post workout meals, and measurements to keep your progress on track. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Rock Your Resolution with Stacia Abdow

X-Training Plus with James Simmons

This 8-week program is built around the strength and cardiovascular conditioning aspect to building muscle, gaining strength and burning fat. A co-ed program for anyone looking to improve his or her overall fitness and to be pushed out of their comfort zone. Workouts will include many different types of equipment like kettle bells, plyometric boxes, sandbags, rowers, battle ropes and much more. Weekly fitness and nutrition tips will be provided. Woman of Steel with Walter Medeiros

Join this 8-week progressive strength-training program for women focusing on all aspects of fitness including: cardiovascular & muscular endurance, muscular strength, flexibility, and body composition. Members that Inspire Us


 

Merle Siegel joined Bristol Total Fitness in September of 2015. She attends the gym 4-5 times per week and trains with Adriana Ferns. Making the gym part of her daily routine has been helpful. “I never thought that I would actually look forward to coming to the gym. Adriana has been incredibly supportive and encouraging. She has shown me that I am capable of exercises that I never imagined myself doing and has become a true friend and mentor”. Merle has quite a few goals this year stating, “This year I will be stronger, braver, kinder and unstoppable. This year I will be fierce!” Congratulations Merle, we can’t wait to see you achieve this year's goals!

 

Brendon Garrity joined Swansea Total Fitness in February of 2016. He joined the gym needing to lose weight for health reasons. Brendon weighed 275lbs and has lost 88lbs. His fitness tip is to stay consistent even when you may not be noticing a change of any kind; as long as you push yourself, stay with your program and watch what you eat – it will go a long way toward your goals. Brendon says, “The staff at SWTF are really nice and helpful. I love that the gym is not too big, never overcrowded and is always clean. All in all I can definitely say this is the best gym experience I have ever had thanks to Total Fitness!” Keep up the good work Brendon!

 
Alex Joyal has been a member of Seekonk Total Fitness since May 2013 and Jodie Somerville has been a member since July 2014. You know what they say, couples who train together stay together! They met in school at Penn State and moved here for work. Alex works for USPS and is in Law School at RWU and Jodie is a Pre-K teacher. When they first started dating, Alex shared his passion for fitness with Jodie and now she also loves coming to the gym. Alex even has goals of doing a body building show this year! In their free time they enjoy going out to eat, movies and Netflix and they definitely earn it.
 

Brian Dorsky joined Dartmouth Total Fitness in 2008 and makes it in at least 5 times a week! He always enjoyed sports but discovered his new love for weight lifting/power lifting. When asked about his favorite lift – “Squats – All squats!” Brian might be a fan of squat variations, but at a power lifting meet, he was able to break the deadlift record and total record in his division (New England). Brians fitness tip is for people to adopt a routine they enjoy following and will actually stick to. “It’s a marathon, not a sprint” when it comes to working towards your fitness goals. As for his thoughts on DTF – “Best staff around.” Congratulations Brian!
