Programs
Half Marathon Training Program
It's a New Year, which means it's time for a new fitness goal! Join Mark Kruger, from Season 5 of 'The Biggest Loser', for our NEW Total Fitness 1/2 Marathon Training Program!
Mark will provide each participant with a 12-week running training schedule and nutrition advice, along with coaching the group through one long run a week. This Training Program will run for a full 12-weeks beginning on Monday, February 13th and concluding with the Providence Cox 1/2 Marathon on Sunday, May 6th. All levels welcome!!
12-week program begins Feb 13th. Open to all Total Fitness members and non-members. For more information, please attend one of our info sessions:
Monday, 2/6 @ 6:30 PM at DARTMOUTH Total Fitness
Tuesday, 2/7 @ 6:30 PM at SWANSEA Total Fitness
Thursday, 2/9 @ 6:30 PM at BRISTOL Total Fitness
Program Cost: $209; includes race registration fee ($65 value), 12-week running schedule, nutrition advice & weekend group runs.

Spin for Hope is a three hour indoor cycling event for a great cause - the American Cancer Society's fight against cancer! Health clubs throughout New England hold this event on the first Sunday every March. Chris and Kate Dusel are perfect for Bristol Total Fitness's February Members of the Month because as a couple they have changed their lives and lost 127 pounds! Chris and Kate have been members since 2008, but made the decision to really commit to diet and exercise since Chris started training for a 5k in March 2011 after he took a Spin class with Mark Kruger and was inspired by his story from the Biggest Loser. Kate saw her husband’s dedication to his health and after having her second child she began her lifestyle change in August 2011 and has lost 75 pounds. “Something clicked” for both of them and now they keep each other accountable and motivated. Kate started a weight loss group at her church and has helped 23 people lose a combined 500 pounds. Chris has since run a half marathon and Kate is training to someday run along with him!

Eliz Lee Sabra has been a member of Swansea Total Fitness since we opened the doors. But she has been working out and living a healthy lifestyle since well before then. Consistency is what keeps her healthy and motivated. She can be seen doing everything from circuit training and cardio, to free weights and working with her trainer Sue Adams. Eliz has a great attitude about working out... it is certainly contagious! Keep up the great work!

Chris Parella has been a member of Total Fitness since 3/2/11. After “years of training the wrong way” he injured his shoulder which made him focus on his overall health, and then training in a more strict and controlled manner. He dedicated himself to eating better and focusing on his cardiovascular work and has now lost 80lbs in 20 weeks. He says he feels better than he has in a real long time and appreciates the information and professionalism he receives from the staff. Chris has made a significant change in his lifestyle and health, and sets a great example for all of us!

Brian Amado started taking his fitness seriously after he had noticed a significant weight gain. He joined Dartmouth Total Fitness last January and has since lost approximately 70 pounds! Brian attends the gym almost daily and always finishes his workout with his favorite PB & J smoothie. Brian works as a middle school teacher in the Dartmouth school system. His favorite gym partner is his wife Ashley! Congratulations Brian! Keep up the great work!
