Total Fitness Coat Drive

Total Fitness Clubs are teaming up with One Warm Coat in the month of January to help our local families in need. There will be a bin at each club where you can place your gently used or new coats. Join us to help our community stay warm during the winter months by “Warming Communities… One Warm Coat at a Time”.

Total Fitness for Women with Erin Ward 

Total Fitness for Women is an 8-week group training program under the supervision of our certified personal trainer, Erin Ward. The program is for women of all fitness levels who have a desire to be the best they can possibly be. Learn how to make your workouts more effective with workouts tailored to your needs and goals. Accountability and support from you trainer and group will help you reach your goals. Erin will provide each participant with written workouts to follow outside training times, nutrition guidance for pre and post workout meals, and biweekly weigh ins and measurements to keep your progress on track. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Fitness Revival with Dawn CasellaFitness Revival with Dawn Casella

Are you sick of going through the circuit #1-10 every week? Do you want to do more but think group classes will be too much for you? Do you enjoy working out with others of the same fitness level as you? Have you been away for a while and need a jump start? Fitness Revival is designed to step up your workout by incorporating basic strength training and cardiovascular training. Nutrition and proper stretching technique will also be incorporated into the 6 week training program. This class will guide you through the steps to get to the next level of fitness. Group training is designed as a more affordable way to get the training you need to progress your workout safely (min. 3 max. 6 participants).

Winter Meltdown with Dawn Casella

Time to shed those winter pounds! This 8 week workshop will provide guidance with fitness and nutrition. Week 1, Dawn will be meeting with each participant to obtain body fat measurements, weigh-ins and discussions about exercise & nutrition. Her program includes, group training circuit workouts that will have multiple levels, so it is suitable for everyone and participants will be given a strict diet based on clean healthy eating. Let Dawn help you live a happier and healthier lifestyle in 2015. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Focus: Your Back with Erin Ward

Say goodbye to back pain! This is a program offered to anyone who either experiences chronic back pain and/or is looking to strengthen the muscles that support the spine. This beginner workshop will focus on five exercises for four weeks. Participants will learn to shift the focus from the front muscles generally overused to the larger muscles of the posterior chain. This will in turn build strength, improve flexibility, correct poor movement patterns, stabilize the spine and improve posture. (Limited to 4 particpants)

Flow Into the Weekend with Leanne Mitchell

Join Leanne in the transition from the work week into the weekend through breathing from one yoga pose to the next. You will focus the mind and calm the body. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Jump Into January with Erin Ward

Total body warm-up and core conditioning using the reformer jumpboard. The class will provide footwork, leg toning, stabilization work for the shoulders, spine, and pelvis, as well as cardiovascular endurance. It wll also include light hand weights at times. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Intro to the Pilates Reformer with Dawn Casella

Learn how to use the Pilates Reformer in a class setting that replaces 3 private sessions required to participate in a group reformer class. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

QiGong Wellness Workshop with Nia Teixeira

A three week wellness workshop that will meet twice a week. QiGong is ancient exercise for promoting health and well-being. It will help you gain greater mobility, flexibility, lower your blood pressure, reduce and eliminate pain. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

X-Training Plus with James Simmons

This 8 week program is built around the strength and cardiovascular conditioning aspect to building muscle, gaining strength and burning fat. A co-ed program for anyone looking to improve their overall fitness and to be pushed out of their comfort zone. Workouts will include many different types of equipment like kettle bells, plyometric boxes, sandbags, rowers, battle ropes and much more. Weekly fitness and nutrition tips will be provided. Girls Club with Abby Cabral

Join Abby Cabral for this 8 week workshop, designed for women who want to challenge themselves through high intensity weight training and cardio conditioning. You will also receive nutritional guidance and weekly weigh-ins to keep you accountable. This will be a fun and supportive program that will empower and educate you. All fitness levels welcome! (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Train Insane with Lizzie Newton

This group training will take participants on an 8 week journey to accomplish goals during the yummiest part of the year. Measurements will be taken at the beginning, middle and end of this workshop to track personal progress. Participants should expect a high intensity workshop combining traditional weight training with function movements as well as intervals cardio drills. Keeping the body guessing with each workout will make every workout different while targeting all muscle groups. Working as a team with the same goal; to stay fit and get fitter will keep everyone motivated! (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

So You Think You Know Fitness with Jenn Brown

So you think you’ve got this fitness thing down? Then why are you stuck in the same routine with the same old exercises? Why is your eating still off? How do you know if your form is correct if nobody is cueing you? Lucky for you, Personal Fitness Trainer, Jenn Brown is here to help. In the first week, you will have a private consultation with Jenn to discuss the training issues you struggle with and receive a fitness evaluation. The next six weeks, in a group setting, Jenn will review proper form for the exercises you most want to learn. In the last week, Jenn will re-evaluate your fitness level in a final one-on-one evaluation, to measure your results! (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Mobility for Lifters with Chris Raymond

Join Chris for this 8 week program meeting for two half hours sessions each week . Individuals will be assessed for mobility issues that prevent proper range of motions for various areas of the body. These areas when mobile again can improve performance and better quality of life. Such areas are back, hips, and shoulders. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Walt's Weight Loss ChallengeFitness Revival with Dawn Casella

Participants will undertake a 10 week long program that will combine personalized one on one sessions and specific dietary guidelines for each individual. Along with two group training session a week which will help build comraderie amongst the participants which will help you overcome many obstacles. Also included, weekly weigh ins followed by a “group therapy” session to ultimately lose as much weight safely as well as to allow for the greatest amount of success to keep the weight off.

Finish Strong: Train for a Half Marathon with Lizzie Newton

This 10 week workshop will help prepare you for the Cox Providence Half Marathon Sunday, May 3rd. The training will consist of distance runs, intervals, hills and strength training to help you succeed faster and stronger! You will be encouraged to participate in the St. Pat's 5k on March 21st to see how your training is coming along. Whether this is your first or fifth race, Lizzie will give you the tools to cross the finish line. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Members that Inspire Us


Judy Capron has been a member of Bristol Total Fitness since September 2008. She’s always been active, but wanted to join the gym to amp up her workouts and to have some variety. Judy enjoys taking classes “for the support and for the friendships you develop”, also for the instructors “who always keep you focused”. Her favorite classes are Spin, Group Power and Yoga-lates! On Judy's downtime she enjoys reading, skiing, biking and hiking. She also loves to do yoga with her 3 year old granddaughter, who calls the pose “Downward Dog”, “Uppie Downie Dog” and also balances out “Happy Baby” with “Crying Baby”. Congratulations Judy!!

 

Donna Caron has been a member of Swansea Total Fitness since October 2014. This year she decided to start her New Year’s resolution early. Since joining, Donna has been training consistently with her personal trainer, Craig Costa, and attends Spin class three times a week. Even with the busy holiday season she has been coming five days a week and it shows. Donna has already lost 20 pounds. Her plans for the new year are to start trying high intensity boot camp style classes, along with yoga and stretching classes to improve flexibility. Keep up the good work Donna! You are an inspiration to us all!

 

Sylvia Fidalgo has been a member of Seekonk Total Fitness since January of 2010. She hasn’t always been active, but during her senior year of high school she decided to become fit and has been active ever since. You can find her taking Group Power or Spin class every week. Outside of the gym she enjoys spending time with her family and sleeping in (when her two sons allow). She likes to use her gym time as a way to decompress from all the stresses of daily life. To stay fit Sylvia will eat healthy during the week and allow one cheat day on the weekends. You look great Sylvia, keep up all your hard work!

 

Steve Maciel & Suzie Gauthier have been members of Dartmouth Total Fitness since February 2014. Steve attends the gym twice a day & recently achieved his goal of 100lbs weight-loss! Congratulations! He attributes his success by eating right & only enjoying a treat a few times a week. Steve’s motto is, “No matter how long the road is, don’t give up & keep going.” Suzie, attends the gym 5-6 times a week. She feels that consistency, surrounding yourself with motivated people, & setting short term goals will aid you in health & fitness. Suzie’s likes to live by the motto,“pain is weakness leaving the body”. Keep up the great work Steve and Suzie!
