FREE Summer Bootcamp with Adriana Ferns

Yes, Bristol Total Fitness and Bristol Parks & Recreation is still continuing with our FREE Boot Camp! Our second installment will be the same day, same time, DIFFERENT location. Beginning June 14th, the boot camp will be held at the Bristol Town Common (across the street from Reynolds School). Wear your workout gear and be prepared to sweat!

FREE Yoga and Pilates Mat Classes at The Bristol Town Library

EVOLUTION Pilates Studio will be stepping up their commitment to the health of the Bristol, RI community by offering free Yoga and Pilates Mat Classes at the Rogers Free Library in the Herreshoff Community Room. Space is limited! Call the library at (401) 253-6948 to reserve your spot.

Bodacious Bodies with Dawn Casella

This 4 week group training workshop will take you through a progressive workout that teaches you exercises that will hit all the spots that we ladies want to focus on. Dawn Casella will show you exercises to help lift, shape and tone your body like you never have before. This program will focus on exercises that sculpt arms, defines legs, back, tighten abs, lift your butt and chest. Sorry fellas this workshop is ladies only.

Total Fitness for Women Outdoors with Erin Ward

It's time to take working out to the outdoors. Everything you would do with Erin for Total Fitness for Women Group Training now will be outside plus track work, obstacles and whatever else Erin might have up her sleeve.

Back to Basics Strengthening the Posterior Chain with Erin Ward

Say goodbye to back pain! Back to Basics is a program offered to anyone who either experiences chronic back pain and/or is looking to strengthen the muscles that support the spine. This beginner workshop will focus on five exercises for four weeks. Participants will learn to shift the focus from the front muscles generally overused to the larger muscles of the posterior chain. This will in turn build strength, improve flexibility, correct poor movement patterns, stabilize the spine and improve posture.

Mindful Yoga with Laura Giannotti

This 4 week series will guide you and educate you on using your yoga practice to become more mindful; to be in the present moment through meditation. In addition to a peaceful yoga experience, you will carry this new practice of midfulness into your everyday life. Sign up for this workshop and leave your worry at the door.

Beginner Pilates Mat Workshop with Christine Jenks

Join Christine for a 6 week beginner pilates mat workshop focusing on technique, breath and the 18 basic exercises of Power Pilates. What is pilates? "It is an exercise system that is focused on building strength without bulk, improving flexibility and agility, and helping to prevent injury." The result of pilates is a strong core and a balanced body.

Intro to Olympic Weightlifting with Shaun Monteiro

Shaun Monteiro is a Pendlay Level 2 Certified Olympic Weightlifting Coach. His 8 Week program will progressively introduce the basics of the snatch, clean and jerk. If your interested in adding some new, more technical lifts to your routine this is a great opportunity to learn proper form and technique.

Samurai Sprint Mud Run Training with Stacia Abdow

Have you always wanted to try an obstacle course race but wasn't sure how to train for it? Personal Trainer, Stacia Abdow has got you covered with her 6 week training program for the Samurai Mud Run in July. This program will prepare you for obstacles such as, balance beam, box jumps, rope climbing and many more. With Stacia's expertise and motivation she will get your ready for any obstacle that might get in your way!

Hurricane Training with Erin Carr

Members that Inspire Us

Member of the Month Bristol Total Fitness 2013Laura Vecoli joined Bristol Total Fitness in July 2013. In less than a year Laura has lost over 90lbs but decided to join the gym because she found that walking no longer became effective for her continuing weight loss. Along with doing low impact cardio workouts, Laura likes to take Pilates, Yoga & Total Body classes. Her favorite is taking Pilates Reformer with Dawn Casella, because “it really allows you to target individual muscles and gain better control & stability of them”. When she's not in the gym she enjoys time with family & friends. Thank you, Laura, for being dedicated and showing us what the outcome of that dedication can be!
Sally Borges joined Swansea Total Fitness in June 2013 & Christine Sheehan joined in November 2010. Sally & Christine met through Rhonda's Girls Club training. They both struggled with their weight-loss over the years but made a commitment to make healthy changes. With Rhonda's motivation & coaching, she has taught them about healthy nutrition & how to lead a happy healthy life. Christine & Sally hold each other accountable & encourage each other to keep from slipping back into old habits. Great work ladies, you are an inspiration to us all!
Jay Higgins has been a member of Seekonk Total Fitness since January 2010. He has been training with Chris Raymond since February and has lost 23 pounds. Jay was recently told by his doctor that he will need a knee replacement. With this diagnosis he decided to start strength training to put off the surgery as long as possible. You can find Jay at the gym lifting weights and working out on the elliptical. He has been married for 38 years with three children and three grandchildren. Jay loves golf, gardening, and kayaking. Keep up the great work Jay!

Erica Thomas has been a member at Dartmouth Total Fitness for over 6 months, formally a Revolution member for 3 years. She has been training with Personal Trainer, Stacia Abdow for over a year and continues to see results. Erica placed Top 10 for Women in our 2014 Fitness Challenge. She says “I really learned a lot about myself and was so happy with my progress, will power, and my weight loss. I am an example to my family by living a healthy and active lifestyle.” We are happy to have Erica lead by example and be our June Member of the Month!
