One Warm Coat Thank You

Dartmouth Total Fitness Open House

TRX Suspension Training with Adriana Ferns

Break out from your old routine and join us for this 6-week TRX Suspension Training workshop - the bodyweight exercise that trains your body for how you move in life. Adriana will challenge you each time while keeping this program for all levels. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Spring Team Builder with Alex Amaral

Learn to build teamwork while getting your workout on! For 4 weeks participants will work in pairs or as a group as Alex gives them workouts using the TRX, kettlebells, body weight and more. Share the pain! Share the glory! (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Mix It Up with Dawn Casella

Break out of the monotony of the circuit by using TRX, cable weights, free weights, gliders and bands. For 6 weeks Dawn will motivate, keep you focused and accountable. The support and comradery from participants will keep you on track toward your fitness goals. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Total Fitness for Women with Erin Ward 

Total Fitness for Women is an 8-week group-training program under the supervision of our certified personal trainer, Erin Ward. The program is for women of all fitness levels who have a desire to be the best they can possibly be. Learn how to make your workouts more effective with workouts tailored to your needs and goals. Accountability and support from you trainer and group will help you reach your goals. Erin will provide each participant with written workouts to follow outside training times, nutrition guidance for pre and post workout meals, and biweekly weigh ins and measurements to keep your progress on track. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Tough Mudder Outdoor Training Camp with Adriana Ferns

Ready to tackle a new and exciting goal this year? This is it! This 8-week workshop will prepare you for the Tough Mudder taking place in June 2015. You will be simulating the Tough Mudder obstacle course to help get you ready and nutrition guidance will be given to those who need it. (weather permitting) (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

TotalBarre with Christine Jenks

TotalBarre efficiently blends pilates with dance, cardio and strength training specifically challenging arms, legs and core to strengthen and lengthen the body.

Focus: Your Back with Erin Ward

Say goodbye to back pain! This is a program offered to anyone who either experiences chronic back pain and/or is looking to strengthen the muscles that support the spine. This beginner workshop will focus on five exercises for four weeks. Participants will learn to shift the focus from the front muscles generally overused to the larger muscles of the posterior chain. This will in turn build strength, improve flexibility, correct poor movement patterns, stabilize the spine and improve posture. (Limited to 4 participants)

Samurai Sprint Mud Run Training with Stacia Abdow

Have you always wanted to try an obstacle course race but wasn't sure how to train for it? Personal Trainer, Stacia Abdow has got you covered with her 8-week training program for the Samurai Mud Run in July. This program will prepare you for obstacles such as, balance beam, box jumps, rope climbing and many more. With Stacia's expertise and motivation she will get your ready for any obstacle that might get in your way! (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

 X-Training Plus with James Simmons

This 8-week program is built around the strength and cardiovascular conditioning aspect to building muscle, gaining strength and burning fat. A co-ed program for anyone looking to improve their overall fitness and to be pushed out of their comfort zone. Workouts will include many different types of equipment like kettle bells, plyometric boxes, sandbags, rowers, battle ropes and much more. Weekly fitness and nutrition tips will be provided. Girls Club with Abby Cabral

Join Abby Cabral for this 8 week workshop, designed for women who want to challenge themselves through high intensity weight training and cardio conditioning. You will also receive nutritional guidance and weekly weigh-ins to keep you accountable. This will be a fun and supportive program that will empower and educate you. All fitness levels welcome! (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

The Runner's Edge with Chris Raymond

This 8-week program combines strength and mobility training to get your body ready for this year's road race and obstacle courses. Participants will receive full body strength training workouts designed for runners, cyclists, and swimmers, including lower body, hip stabilization techniques and core strength training. Mobility training is included to prevent overuse injuries and increase performance. Individuals will also receive personalized mileage programs based on their abilities and weekly goals. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Drop 2 Pants Size Challenge with Chris Raymond

This 8-week program individuals will meet twice a week. Your first session will consist of a full body cardiovascular workout and the second a muscular endurance workout. The rules are simple; the most pants sizes loss will win the challenge. Winner will receive 5 half hour training sessions and the runner up will receive 5-protein shake card. A waist to hip ratio will be used as well for tiebreakers! (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Tuff Training with Jenn Brown

Whether you want to run obstacle course races or just have a body that looks like you do, this training is for you! During this 8-week program Jenn will train you to move your body through outdoor terrain. Run, leap, push, pull and crawl your way through nature’s obstacles in Haines Park (weather permitted), as you prepare for the Tuff Scrambler on May 16th (optional). (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

TRX & Barbells with Tammy Kappes

This 10-week program offers a full body workout each week with progressions for all fitness levels. The TRX Suspension Trainer integrates strength training by using functional movement and dynamic positions, the barbell is added to develop lean muscle. Senior wellness instructors, physical therapists and our military are using similar programs, to train and rehabilitate. Let Tammy help you reach your health and fitness goals this year! (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Weight Loss Clinic with Walter Medeiros

Participants will undertake a 10-week long program that will combine personalized dietary guidelines for each individual along with a weekly group training session which will help build comraderie amongst the participants which will help you overcome many obstacles. Also included, weekly weigh ins followed by a “group therapy” session to ultimately lose as much weight safely as well as to allow for the greatest amount of success to keep the weight off. Mobility for Lifters with Chris Raymond

Join Chris for this 12-week program meeting for two half hours sessions each week. Individuals will be assessed for mobility issues that prevent proper range of motions for various areas of the body. These areas when mobile again can improve performance and better quality of life. Such areas are back, hips, and shoulders. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Members that Inspire Us


Michelle Sineiro joined Bristol Total Fitness in October 2014. She began her fitness journey with the 6 Weeks to Wellness program and Personal Trainer, Dawn Casella, due to a sacroiliac injury. When Michelle first began coming to the gym, her doctors told her she would not be able to walk, run or ride a bike without being in pain. 4 months later she was able to prove the doctors otherwise and is now planning to do her first 5k in May. When she’s not working out, Michelle is in school. She also enjoys reading and just overall relaxing. Congratulations Michelle on overcoming your medical obstacles and remember to keep moving forward!

 
Arthur Frank has been a member of Swansea Total Fitness since February 2006. He is a great inspiration because with his busy schedule, he still made it to the gym all but two days in 2014. There are a couple of things that keep Arthur motivated. One being that he sees people his age and older having all sorts of medical issues and wants to keep active as long as possible. Another motivation is to lessen his stress level. Arthurs's favorite workout is running. He had to stop two years ago because of leg and knee issues. Since starting up again in April of 2014, Arthur has run a couple of 5k road races. Congratulations Arthur! You are an inspiration to us all!
 

Dawn DiMeola has been a member of Seekonk Total Fitness since September 2013. When at the gym, she can be found doing box jumps, burpees and lifting weights like a pro. Dawn has always been active, participating in sports throughout school. She makes the gym a priority, not just for looks, because she wants to be strong and healthy for life! Dawn loves spending time with her family, her husband Larry and daughter Skyler. Even with a hectic life is still crushing her workouts. Congrats Dawn, you deserve it!

 

Andrea Pegg has been a member of Dartmouth Total Fitness since 2013. You can usually find her taking one of our many classes, three to five times a week. Andrea enjoys all of the classes but her favorite is kickboxing. She says, "Coming to the gym helps her maintain a healthy weight, it can be hard at times, but it’s all worth it." She loves the staff, “They are all very friendly and helpful, and they make you feel very comfortable.” “DTF is an awesome gym and has everything you need to do a great workout.” Congratulations, Andrea, on your dedication to working out, staying healthy and being positive.
