Step Up for MS

Join instructors Gina, Karyl and Jean for this (90 min.) Master Step Class to raise funds for this year's MS 150 RIDE THE RHODE event coming up in June. A suggested donation of $5.00 to participate. All proceeds go to support the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Participate in some fitness fun while helping Total Fitness Instructor, Gina Ferrara (MS150 participant) raise money for a great cause.

4th Annual Free Boot Camp at Independence Park with Adriana Ferns

Mix It Up with Dawn Casella

Break out of the monotony of the circuit by using TRX, cable weights, free weights, gliders and bands. Dawn will motivate, keep you focused and accountable. The support and camaraderie from participants will keep you on track toward your fitness goals. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

TRX Suspension Training with Adriana Ferns

Break out from your old routine and join Adriana for this 8-week program. TRX is a form of suspension training used to perform total body workouts with exercises that engage your core, while using your own bodyweight for resistance. Adriana will use TRX to take your resistance training to a new level through functional and dynamic movements, perfect for any age and any fitness level. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Summer Sizzle at Colt State Park with Adriana Ferns

This 8-week program, with certified personal trainer Adriana Ferns, is an outdoor total body workout with everything from running, plyometrics, to partner and equipment exercises. In just an hour you can really take your fitness to the next level. Take advantage of the weather and start the day off right. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

X-Training Plus with James Simmons

This 8-week program is built around the strength and cardiovascular conditioning aspect to building muscle, gaining strength and burning fat. A co-ed program for anyone looking to improve his or her overall fitness and to be pushed out of their comfort zone. Workouts will include many different types of equipment like kettle bells, plyometric boxes, sandbags, rowers, battle ropes and much more. Weekly fitness and nutrition tips will be provided. Let James help you achieve your goals using the latest and most effective methods. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Samurai Sprint Mud Run Training with Stacia Abdow

Have you always wanted to try an obstacle course race but wasn't sure how to train for it? Personal Trainer, Stacia Abdow has got you covered with her 6-week training program for the Samurai Mud Run in July. This program will prepare you for obstacles such as, balance beam, box jumps, rope climbing and many more. With Stacia's expertise and motivation she will get your ready for any obstacle that might get in your way! (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Pure Fit with Erica Morency

Woman of Steel with Walter Medeiros

Join this 8-week progressive strength-training program for women focusing on all aspects of fitness including: cardiovascular & muscular endurance, muscular strength, flexibility, and body composition. Participants will enjoy the camaraderie of working with a group in a fun and encouraging atmosphere to achieve results. Colt State Park Bootcamp with Jennifer Brown

Weight Loss Clinic with Walter Medeiros

Participants will undertake a 8-week long program that will combine personalized dietary guidelines for each individual along with a weekly group training session which will help build comraderie amongst participants which will help you overcome many obstacles. Also included, weekly weigh ins followed by a “group therapy” session to ultimately lose as much weight safely as well as to allow for the greatest amount of success to keep the weight off. (min. 3 max. 12 participants)

Members that Inspire Us


 

Julianne Armillotto joined Bristol Total Fitness in January 2016. After having her two children, she decided it was time to get back to being active. Julianne started to attend the gym 5-6 times a week, sometimes twice a day. Within the past 3 months she has lost a total of 44lbs! When asked what she liked about BTF she said “The girls that watch my boys in daycare are phenomenal! The daycare facility is what keeps me going with no excuses. I can’t say enough awesome things about the staff in general” Julianne we couldn’t be more proud of your accomplishments so far. Congratulations and just keep moving forward!

 

Sheena Martin has been a member of Swansea Total Fitness since September 2015. A few years ago she was in a motorcycle accident and was told that life would not be the same physically. Sheena found that working out and getting stronger has been both a part of her mental and physical recovery. She is now stronger than she was prior to the accident and is now working out at six days a week. Sheena tries attending her favorite boot camp type classes at least three times a week. Her favorite quote is “Someday your pain will become the source of your strength. Face it. Brave it. You will make it.” Keep working hard Sheena!

 

Ryan Maduro joined Seekonk Total Fitness in October of 2014. He has been into fitness and sports since the age of 5. Ryan played soccer for Providence College and is currently studying to be a Strength and Conditioning coach. He is an intern who trains the men’s basketball and soccer teams. Ryan also coaches youth soccer. His workouts are high intensity based with lots of functional training. Ryan can do a 1 legged box jump on to the high box! Ray Saraiva has been a member at Dartmouth Total Fitness since March 2011 and attends the gym five days a week. While at the gym, he enjoys powerlifting and bodybuilding. His best total in powerlifting is 1,435lbs. This total is from a 515lb squat, 320lb bench, and a 600lb deadlift. “The war is won not by a single battle.” Ray believes that being healthy is a long term lifestyle, not just a short term diet. "Some days will be harder than others. As long as you are consistent over time, you will have great results." Ray loves that the DTF is very clean and says the staff is great!
