Holiday Hours


Wednesday, 11/26 - All clubs close @ 5pm (No PM Classes or Babysitting)
Thursday, 11/27 - All Clubs Open 7am-11am (No Babysitting) 
Regularly scheduled classes are cancelled but check out our Thanksgiving specialty classes
Friday, 11/29 - All clubs open at 8am (Regular Babysitting and Classes after 8am)

Swansea Total Fitness 1st Annual Thanksgiving 5k Run/3k Walk

Join the Total Fitness team this Thanksgiving morning for our 1st Annual Thanksgiving event! All proceeds will go to benefit Multiple Sclerosis Association of America. Entry fee prior to Nov 25th is $25, $30 day of race. All registered runners/walkers will receive a t-shirt. Registration forms will be available at the front desk of all Total Fitness clubs or click here to register online.

Total Fitness Food Drive

All Total Fitness Food Drives will be looking for non-perishable items such as: canned goods, dry pastas, rice, peanut butter, tuna etc.

Swansea Total Fitness Food Drive will be to benefit the Dighton Community Food Bank. Drop off deadline is November 25th.

Dartmouth Total Fitness Food Drive will be to benefit the M.O. Life Pantry. Drop off deadline is November 30th.

Bristol Total Fitness Food Drive will be to benefit the East Bay Food Pantry. Drop off deadline is November 26th.

Seekonk Total Fitness Food Drive will be to benefit the Seekonk Human Services. Drop off deadline is November 20th.

 
Total Fitness Video Shoot

We will be shooting a video of the facility, equipment and classes.

Be prepared if you want to be in it! We respect your wishes for privacy - so If you do not wish to be in the video stop by the front desk (when you come in) and we will inform our videographer to edit you out of the footage (it’s that simple).

The gym will be free and open to the public during the duration of the video shoot. Bring your friends and family for a work out or your favorite class!

 

Free One Hour Workshops at Evolution Pilates Studio 

During the month of November, we are offering one hour workshops free of charge to enhance the mind, body and soul. Please sign up in advance by calling 401-254-3900 or emailing christinejenks@totalfitnessclubs.com. (space for 6 participants)

QiGong with Nia Teixeira
QiGong is a Chinese system of physical exercises and breathing control related to tai chi.

Vinyasa Yoga with Leanne Mitchell
Vinyasa yoga is a series of poses that will move you through the power of inhaling and exhaling.

Total Fitness for Women with Erin Ward 

Total Fitness for Women is an 8-week group training program under the supervision of our certified personal trainer, Erin Ward. The program is for women of all fitness levels who have a desire to be the best they can possibly be. Learn how to make your workouts more effective with workouts tailored to your needs and goals. Accountability and support from you trainer and group will help you reach your goals. Erin will provide each participant with written workouts to follow outside training times, nutrition guidance for pre and post workout meals, and biweekly weigh ins and measurements to keep your progress on track. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

TRX Suspension Training with Adriana Ferns

Break out from your old routine and join us for this 4 week TRX Suspension Training workshop - the bodyweight exercise that trains your body for how you move in life. Adriana will challenge you each time while keeping this program for all levels. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Mix It Up with Dawn Casella

Break out of the monotony of the circuit by using TRX, cable weights, free weights, gliders and bands. For 6 weeks Dawn will motivate, keep you focused and accountable. The support and comradery from participants will keep you on track toward your fitness goals. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Focus: Your Back with Erin Ward

Say goodbye to back pain! This is a program offered to anyone who either experiences chronic back pain and/or is looking to strengthen the muscles that support the spine. This beginner workshop will focus on five exercises for four weeks. Participants will learn to shift the focus from the front muscles generally overused to the larger muscles of the posterior chain. This will in turn build strength, improve flexibility, correct poor movement patterns, stabilize the spine and improve posture. (Limited to 4 particpants)

Jumpboard Plus with Erin Ward

Total body warm-up and core conditioning using the reformer jumpboard. The class will provide footwork, leg toning, stabilization work for the shoulders, spine, and pelvis, as well as cardiovascular endurance. It wll also include light hand weights at times. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Winter Fever Fit with Julie Fostin

Catch the fever! Make progress and mix up your routine with circuit strength training, cardio intervals and more. Join Julie for 8 weeks of fun with routines that will keep you accountable and challenged. Including, weekly dietary guidelines and recipes! (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Downtown Jingle 5k Training with Jenn Brown

Jenn will prepare a team of novice runners to cross the Downtown Jingle 5k finish line on Sunday December 14, 2014. This 6 week program is designed to properly target the muscle groups needed for running; including stretching, strength training, attention to stride, foot strike and of course, running...yes, outside! You will build camaraderie with your teammates in addition to achieving a goal you perhaps thought was out of your reach. You can do this! (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Train Insane for the Holidays with Lizzie Newton

This group training will take participants on an 8 week journey to accomplish goals during the yummiest part of the year. Measurements will be taken at the beginning, middle and end of this workshop to track personal progress. Participants should expect a high intensity workshop combining traditional weight training with function movements as well as intervals cardio drills. Keeping the body guessing with each workout will make every workout different while targeting all muscle groups. Working as a team with the same goal; to stay fit and get fitter will keep everyone motivated! (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Head Start with Chris Raymond

Get a Head Start on those New Years resolutions by keeping the Holiday weight off due to the lack of time, hoilday parties and the last minute shopping. This group training is aimed to leave you in full exhaustion to compensate for missed workouts. Emphasis on strength and cardio based workouts to give a "Guilt Free" Holiday season full of fun and a more confident you. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Members that Inspire Us


Sue DeGrazia has been a member of Bristol Total Fitness since March of 2010. She joined along with her husband becasue they agreed it was time to be more active. Sue works many hours but always finds the time to work out and eat properly. She has taken Erin Ward’s Total Fitness for Women program and has noticed her upper body strength has improved. Sue enjoys taking Group fitness classes. Her favorite classes are Spin and Group Power. When she is not working out or working, Sue enjoys cooking, baking and shopping for her children. Congratulations Sue and keep up the good work!!

 
Tony Quintanilha has been a member of Swansea Total Fitness since October 2012. He is very commited to his goal of making progress. For the last 6 months Tony has been working out every day. He figures if you want something bad enough you have to commit to your goal for it to be attainable. Tony’s favorite body parts to work out are his shoulders and back. He finds the most challenging part is to get on a real good nutrition plan that works for best for him and taking time to prep his meals. “It takes time to figure out what works for your body. ”Congratulations on your hard work and achievements Tony. Keep up the good work!
 
Kristen White has been a member at Seekonk Total Fitness since May 2013. In 2009, she was told by her doctor that she needed to make drastic lifestyle changes, due to being 300lbs and developing blood clots, with this diagnosis she began to make change. Since then, Kristen has lost 160lbs and has found success in the sport of Strongman. She is one of the strongest women both mentally and physically at SKTF and we cheer her on as she succeeds in her sport. Thanks Kristen for crushing the blue room and her advice is “No one can tell you to do it, you have to do it for yourself!” Way to go, keep up all your hard work!
 

Joanne Rochefort has been a Dartmouth Total Fitness Member since December of 2013. She exercises five days most weeks and participates in the Silver Sneakers class as well as Gentle Yoga. Joanne also works out independently doing a cardio and strength training circuit. Since joining she has lost 15 pounds, without “dieting”.  Joanne says for her it’s not about being better than somebody else, it’s about being better than she used to be. Her fitness philosophy is that it’s the habit and routine of exercise that lead to success. Congratulations Joanne, you are an amazing inspiration to us all at DTF!
