Operation Stars and Stripes

Seekonk Total Fitness will be collecting Halloween candy to support Operation Stars and Stripes. This all-volunteer, non-profit organization supports our troops at home and overseas. The excess Halloween candy will be used to fill our stockings for the Operation Holiday Stockings Campaign. Keep your family healthy and help out those who are keeping us safe!

November Senior Fitness Competition

Join Swansea Total Fitness Personal Trainer's, Peter Holland & Tony Quintanilha for their Senior Fitness Competition. This by appointment only, timed workout will include three sets of six different exercises. In addition to bragging rights, prizes will be given to the top winners in each age group.

Swansea Total Fitness 2nd Annual Thanksgiving 5k Run/3k Walk

Join the Total Fitness team this Thanksgiving morning for our 2nd Annual Thanksgiving event! All proceeds will go to benefit The Heather Abbott Foundation. Entry fee prior to Nov 25th is $25, $30 day of race. All registered runners/walkers will receive a t-shirt. Registration forms will be available at the front desk of all Total Fitness clubs or click here to register online.

Total Fitness Food Drive

All Total Fitness Food Drives will be looking for non-perishable items such as: canned goods, dry pastas, rice, peanut butter, tuna etc.

Swansea Total Fitness Food Drive will be to benefit the Church of Our Savior's Food Bank. Drop off deadline is November 23rd.

Dartmouth Total Fitness Food Drive will be to benefit the M.O. Life Pantry. Drop off deadline is November 30th.

Bristol Total Fitness Food Drive will be to benefit the East Bay Food Pantry. Drop off deadline is November 26th.

Seekonk Total Fitness Food Drive will be to benefit the East Bay Community Action Program. Drop off deadline is November 22nd.

All Thanksgiving Day Specialty Classes are FREE to the public with a non-perishable food donation.

 

3rd Annual Meet Our Local Heroes Toy Drive at Bristol Total Fitness

On Saturday, Dec 19th, between 10am - 12pm our local veterans will be collecting toys. Total Fitness members and the public may donate a toy and in return have their picture taken with our heroes. Our very own Andy Calise will be leading the troop! We will be providing snacks and refreshments to all who participate.

Bristol Total Fitness is teaming up with Bristol Good Neighbors to provide toys to benefit our local children. We will start collecting new and unwrapped toys Nov 27th - Dec 23rd. You may drop the toys off in the designated boxes in the foyer. Happy Holidays!

Mind Body Studios @ Total Fitness Clubs

Work your body, mind and lift your spirit in our studios located next to Bristol Total Fitness. Check out the November Class Schedule for Barre, Pilates Reformer and Pilates Mat Classes. Contact us for your complimentary 30 minute pilates equipment introduction.

Sugar Shakedown with Adriana Ferns

End the vicious circle of yo-yo diets and unhealthy patterns! For 12 weeks this program will help clean out the sugar from your body and help stop those carb cravings as well as craving those sweets. Meal plans; a grocery list, workouts and weekly weigh-ins/body fat measurements will be given throughout the program. With the support from Adriana and fellow participants, you will work and learn how to eat, live and maintain a healthy lifestyle. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

TRX Suspension Training with Adriana Ferns

Break out from your old routine and join Adriana for this 8-week program. TRX is a form of suspension training used to perform total body workouts with exercises that engage your core, while using your own bodyweight for resistance. Total Fitness for Women with Stacia Abdow

Total Fitness for Women is an 8-week group-training program under the supervision of our certified personal trainer, Stacia Abdow. The program is for women of all fitness levels who have a desire to be the best they can possibly be. Learn how to make your workouts more effective with workouts tailored to your needs and goals. Accountability and support from your trainer and group will help you reach your goals. Stacia will provide each participant with written workouts to follow outside training times, nutrition guidance for pre and post workout meals, and measurements to keep your progress on track. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

This 8-week program is built around the strength and cardiovascular conditioning aspect to building muscle, gaining strength and burning fat. Remember that “good sore” feeling? Remember the excitement in your potential when you first began to exercise? Recapture it in Craig’s Body Comp Clinic. This is a 10-week program designed to motivate and educate you to get you into the best shape of your life. Improve your strength and cardiovascular conditioning, and look as good as ever. The focus of this program will be on losing fat, not just body weight. You will be taught how to make permanent changes in your life. Holiday Workout Blast with Sue Adams

Join Sue for this 6-week program to improve strength, endurance and cardiovascular stamina. Workouts of the day will be posted on the white board a half hour prior to class. Sue can help you stay accountable to your health and fitness goals during this very busy time of the year.

Members that Inspire Us


AJ Medeiros joined Bristol Total Fitness in August 2012, Adam Cabral in March 2013 and Drew Lombardo in October 2014. You can find them in the gym 5 days a week, motivating and pushing one another to keep going. As Drew says “a tired day showing up is better than sitting at home”. The words that keep Adam going are “Impossible spells I’m Possible”. AJ’s advice is to “stay positive and keep moving forward, make sure you reach your goals no matter how you do it, start small”. When asked if they would like to add anything about the staff or gym, Adam said, “Caitlin and Liz are the best! Always brighten up our workout sesh”. Congratulations!   

 

Carol Ann Souza joined Swansea Total Fitness in March 2014. She attends the gym 4-5 times a week to lose the baby weight after having her son five months ago. Carol Ann’s favorite workout is leg day. She says, “If I don’t wake up the next day sore, I didn’t work hard enough”. Carol Ann’s advice is to get as educated as possible and no fad diets. It needs to be a lifestyle change. The quote she lives by is “If you want things you’ve never had – you have to do things you’ve never done”. She loves SWTF staff because anytime she has a question there is always someone who is willing to help. Awesome job Carol Ann!! Keep up the good work!!

 

Ian Souza and Andrea Luther joined Seekonk Total Fitness in 2013. These soul mates are crushing their goals together in the gym! Two years ago, Ian and Andrea were not very fit, by meeting each other it motivated them to live a healthy lifestyle and hit the gym hard every day! Ian’s favorite exercise is floor presses, while Andrea enjoys back and leg day. For them it’s all about living a healthy lifestyle with exercise, diet and hitting their macros! Outside of the gym they are working, in school, or watching Netflix together. Ian and Andrea are an inspiration to all of us and proves that working out with a friend can give you motivation to help you hit your goals!

 

Susan Moloney & Patty Peelen joined Dartmouth Total Fitness in 2013. They enjoy participating in Stacia’s Rock Your Resolution program; it has helped them to keep pushing! Susan & Patty's tip for everyone is “make a schedule to workout and stick to it! Choose healthy foods and drink lots of water.” They feel stronger and have energy to go sailing and skiing together! “It is hard work, but all worth it! I love how I feel very energized after a workout.” Susan & Patty are dedicated and really enjoy working with personal trainer Stacia Abdow. “She is an awesome trainer, and the perfect healthy living mentor."
