Swansea Total Fitness 3rd Annual Thanksgiving 5k Run/3k Walk

Join the Total Fitness team this Thanksgiving morning for our 3rd Annual Thanksgiving event! All proceeds will go to benefit Home Base. Entry fee prior to Nov 24th is $25, $30 day of race. The first 200 registered runners/walkers will receive a t-shirt. Registration forms will be available at the front desk at all TFC locations. Total Fitness Food Drive

All Total Fitness Food Drives will be looking for non-perishable items such as: canned goods, dry pastas, rice, peanut butter, tuna etc.

Swansea Total Fitness Food Drive will be to benefit the Church of Our Savior's Food Bank. Drop off deadline is November 23rd.

Dartmouth Total Fitness Food Drive will be to benefit the M.O. Life Pantry. Drop off deadline is November 30th.

Bristol Total Fitness Food Drive will be to benefit the East Bay Food Pantry. Drop off deadline is November 26th.

Seekonk Total Fitness Food Drive will be to benefit the East Bay Community Action Program. Drop off deadline is November 18th.

All Thanksgiving Day Specialty Classes are FREE to the public with a non-perishable food donation.

 

Total Fitness Spin-A-Thon

Get your turkey burn on and save lives! American Heart Association is teaming up with Total Fitness to host our first ever Spin-A-Thon. 

A spin-a-thon is a peer-to-peer fundraising event that is organized very similarly to a walk-a-thon. Instead of walking, participants are spinning (or riding a stationary bike in place) to raise critical funds to educate the community about the dangers of heart disease and fund scientific research that can save lives.

$50 individual/ $75 team registration fee with a $250 fundraising minimum per bike. There are only 20 bikes available. Register today!

Halloween Candy Donations for Doorways Food Pantry

Seekonk Total Fitness will be collecting Halloween candy to donate to Doorways Food Pantry in Seekonk. The pantry is a faith-based charity that provides food support to Seekonk residents who are facing challenging times in their lives. In addition to providing food support, the volunteers of Doorways offer a warm smile and friendly conversation while assisting our clients with their weekly shopping.

FED UP Movie Viewing with Adriana Ferns

Join Bristol Total Fitness Personal Trainer, Adriana Ferns for the movie FED UP. Everything we’ve been told about food and exercise for the past 30 years is dead wrong. FED UP is the film the food industry doesn’t want you to see. It will change the way you eat forever. Adriana will also have an open discussion to answer questions pertaining to the movie, food and basic nutrition. Tell your friends and family about this FREE event open to the public.

Beginner Olympic Lifting Part 1 - Jerks with Adriana Ferns

Have you ever watched the Olympics or Crossfit games and thought,” I want to be able to do that.” Join Adriana for this 6-week group training that will coach you about proper warm-up, technique and form. She will teach you the basics, right up to the advanced moves you’ve always wanted to try! Part 1 - you will be learning a variety of progressions to achieve the jerk. The focus of this training is to reach goals as well as maintain exercise to strengthen the necessary muscles to perform. (min. 3 max. 4 participants)

TRX Pilates Mat Fusion with Dawn Casella

This 4-week program pairs Pilates Mat with TRX (Total-body Resistance X-Training). The Pilates portion of the workshop will involve a series of exercises performed on a mat. Adding in TRX will challenge you with body weight exercises. This workout will help you increase total-body flexibility, mobility, and stability, as well as develop core strength. The focus will be on technique, stabilization, balance and strength by paying special attention to alignment and form. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Bundle Up Bootcamp with Adriana Ferns

TRX Suspension Training with Adriana Ferns

Tactical Athlete Camp with William Lemieux

Do you admire the training of the police, firefighters or military personnel? Join William for this 6-week group training that will build strength, power and endurance. X-Training Plus with James Simmons

This 8-week program is built around the strength and cardiovascular conditioning aspect to building muscle, gaining strength and burning fat. A co-ed program for anyone looking to improve his or her overall fitness and to be pushed out of their comfort zone. Workouts will include many different types of equipment like kettle bells, plyometric boxes, sandbags, rowers, battle ropes and much more. Weekly fitness and nutrition tips will be provided. Total Fitness for Women with Stacia Abdow

Total Fitness for Women is an 8-week group-training program under the supervision of our certified personal trainer, Stacia Abdow. The program is for women of all fitness levels who have a desire to be the best they can possibly be. Learn how to make your workouts more effective with workouts tailored to your needs and goals. Accountability and support from your trainer and group will help you reach your goals. Stacia will provide each participant with written workouts to follow outside training times, nutrition guidance for pre and post workout meals, and measurements to keep your progress on track. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Participants will undertake an 8-week long program that will combine personalized dietary guidelines for each individual along with a weekly group training session which will help build camaraderie amongst participants which will help you overcome many obstacles. Members that Inspire Us


 

Pedro Ferran has been a member of Bristol Total Fitness since January of 2006. You can find him in the gym five times per week, most likely in the free weights area. As far as workouts go, Pedro says “Nothing beats leg day, it’s one of my favorite.” He has also enjoyed Dawn’s Flexibility class. Whether your goal is to lose weight or gain mass, Pedro believes consistency is the key to success. He leads by example on this, 10 years here with us at BTF proves it! Pedro says it’s “Been a painful journey (being sore everyday), but I like it! It’s fun. I like the gym & the staff. They are all very friendly and helpful.” Congratulations Pedro!

 

Jesse DeSousa has been a member of Swansea Total Fitness since April 2016. His routine has him coming in six afternoons a week to workout, sometimes he comes in the morning as well. Jesse has been very successful with his workout routine and diet, going from 275 lbs. down to his present weight of 210 lbs. Unlike most of us, he says his favorite day is leg day. Jesse is not looking to compete, he just hopes that down the road his fitness journey leads to big numbers on lifts. Mostly, Jesse is doing this for fun and his health! Keep up the good work Jesse! We are all very proud of you!

 
 
Nadine Gennaoui has been a gym member of Seekonk Total Fitness since September 2012. She is a group exercise fan, loves Group Power and Spinning. Recently, Nadine decided to step up her fitness game and started group training with Walter Medeiros's Women of Steel program. Training makes her feel strong. The group she trains with and the staff at gym keeps her motivated. Nadine says, "Exercise helps me feel great! It is nice to enjoy your workout but also catch up with the ones you love!" Congratulations Nadine!
 

G. Bourne Knowles has been a member of Dartmouth Total Fitness since December 2015. He trains with Stacia Abdow 3 days a week. Bourne’s favorite exercise is “whatever Stacia tells me to do” His trust in training with Stacia is in part because it has helped him improve his mobility after knee surgery last September. “Stacia has been wonderful.” At 80 years old, Bourne owns a landscaping business and works on his farm every day. His dedication to his health has helped him “keep alive and kicking.” Bourne’s fitness journey “has been a lifelong commitment – so a very long one!” His hard work is certainly paying off. Congratulations and thank you, Bourne!
