Swansea Total Fitness 4th Annual Thanksgiving 5k Run/3k Walk

Join the Total Fitness team this Thanksgiving morning for our 4th Annual Thanksgiving event! All proceeds will go to benefit Total Fitness Member, Dave Lopes cancer treatment. Entry fee prior to Nov 23rd is $25, $30 day of the race. The first 200 registered runners/walkers will receive a t-shirt. Registration forms will be available at the front desk at all TFC locations. Total Fitness Food Drive

Total Fitness is teaming up with the Salvation Army for our annual food drive. We will be collecting non-perishable items such as dry pasta, can goods, rice, personal hygiene products and baby supplies for families in need. There will be a box to put your donations in the gym foyer, or it can be handed to the front desk.

Bristol Total Fitness SilverSneakers Launch

Starting Nov. 1st Bristol Total Fitness is teaming up with the nation’s leading community fitness program specifically designed for older adults. SilverSneakers® promotes greater health engagement and accountability by providing regular exercise (strength training, aerobics, and flexibility) and social opportunities at no cost to them. Are you a boomer and beyond looking defy the odds, shatter stereotypes and answer every challenge with "I can do this!"? Then this is the class for you!

X-Training with Dave Parker

This 8-week training combines different training principals to enhance athletic performance. These competitive type drills will be designed to create strong, lean, agile, flexible bodies by using a variety of equipment. Mix It Up with Dawn Casella

Total Fitness for Women is a 6-week group-training program under the supervision of our certified personal trainer, Erin Ward. The program is for women of all fitness levels who have a desire to be the best they can possibly be. Learn how to make your workouts more effective with workouts tailored to your needs and goals. Accountability and support from your trainer and group will help you reach your goals. Erin will provide each participant with written workouts to follow outside training times, nutrition guidance for pre and post workout meals, and measurements to keep your progress on track. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Fit Club with Dave Parker

Join Dave for this 8-week program that will help you gain strength and endurance. Rock Your Resolution with Stacia Abdow

Stacia’s weight-loss challenge is an 8-week program to keep participants accountable to their New Year's Resolutions. The workout will be designed to be high-intensity interval training. This 8-week program is built around the strength and cardiovascular conditioning aspect to building muscle, gaining strength and burning fat. A co-ed program for anyone looking to improve his or her overall fitness and to be pushed out of their comfort zone. Workouts will include many different types of equipment like kettlebells, plyometric boxes, sandbags, rowers, battle ropes and much more. Weekly fitness and nutrition tips will be provided. N-Spire Fit with Julie Fostin

Are you in need of some fitness N-Spiration? Join Julie for this 6-week group training that will motivate you to achieve your health and wellness goals. Enjoy working out with fellow participants to push you to the next level of fitness. Woman of Steel with Walter Medeiros

Join this 8-week progressive strength-training program for women focusing on all aspects of fitness including cardiovascular & muscular endurance, muscular strength, flexibility, and body composition. Participants will enjoy the camaraderie of working with a group in a fun and encouraging atmosphere to achieve results. Workouts will consist of weight, balance and flexibility training with cardio intervals to focus on core strength. All fitness levels welcome. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Classes are based on fitness level, participants must contact Walter prior to the program at waltermedeiros@totalfitnessclubs.com. Group Training can be prorated so you can jump in any time where this is availability.

Weight Loss Clinic with Walter Medeiros

Participants will undertake a 10-week long program that will combine personalized dietary guidelines for each individual along with a weekly group training session which will help build camaraderie amongst participants which will help you overcome many obstacles. Also included, weekly weigh-ins followed by a “group therapy” session to ultimately lose as much weight safely as well as to allow for the greatest amount of success to keep the weight off.

Classes are based on fitness level, participants must contact Walter prior to the program at waltermedeiros@totalfitnessclubs.com. Space is limited, participants must sign up 1 week in advance and pay for 1/2 of the program to reserve a spot. (Friday - min. 3 max. 6 participants) (Saturday - min. 3 max. 8 participants)

Members that Inspire Us


 

Whitney Sutherland joined Bristol Total Fitness in May 2017. She started off as a participant in Adriana’s Sugar Shakedown, and she now attends the gym 6-7 days per week. Since starting her journey at BTF, she has lost a total of 61 pounds and 10% body fat! “Stick with it, it isn’t easy and doesn’t happen overnight. Maintain consistency and you will achieve your goals.” Whitney attributes much of her success to the help of her trainer, Adriana: “She guided me, she held me accountable, she believed in me, she pushed me. Having someone there that wants it just as bad as you is an invaluable asset.” Whitney, you are an inspiration! Congratulations!

 

Claudia Bussiere joined Swansea Total Fitness in March 2016. She is a true testament to being the best shape you can at any age. Claudia's consistent training regimen includes working out 3-4 times a week. After reaching a milestone birthday, Claudia decided to get into the best shape yet, and she has accomplished that! She says, “There may be times you feel you just don’t have it in you, but persevere, challenge yourself and the benefits will always outweigh the alternative!” Claudia likes that the SWTF staff is helpful and the gym community is friendly and motivating. We are definitely going to use your advice and “Never Quit— Persevere!” 

 

Lisa and Raul Vicente joined Seekonk Total Fitness in September 2012. As former athletes, fitness has always been a focus but inconsistency with their diet and exercise lead to weight gain. In January of 2017, Lisa and Raul committed to being healthier after many false starts. Determination and the childcare room has given them the time to shed fat and gain muscle. Lisa and Raul's goal is to stay devoted to becoming a better version of themselves. Their greatest joy comes from being able to outrun their three children. Congratulations Lisa and Raul you earned it!

 

Maryann Krane joined Dartmouth Total Fitness in 2014. She attends the gym 2-3 times per week and trains with Stacia Abdow. “Stacia’s Fit Body Boot Camp group training is great! Different every week and always challenging!” Maryann is a long distance runner and credits her training with Stacia for her improvements in running longer and being stronger. She encourages everyone to stay consistent “And Listen to Your Trainer!” “The gym is clean, up to date and Total Fitness has the most qualified training staff” according to Maryann, which keeps her focused and coming back. Congratulations!
