Free Octoberfest Boot Camp

Bristol Total Fitness and Bristol Parks & Recreation are teaming up to create a healthier community again. Come join us for the second series of boot camp in the park. It's the "Free Octoberfest Boot Camp @ Independence Park". Saturdays @ 7am-8am Sept. 14th- Oct. 26th. In case of extreme weather, we will bring it indoors to Bristol Total Fitness. See you there! Bring your family and friends. It is free to the public.

 

6th Annual BWS 5k run/walk Fort Tabor, New Bedford

Come join us on Sunday, October 6, 2013 for one of the best 5k’s in the area! Come walk/run/stroll or simply cheer on the participants for an amazing cause. There will be tons of fantastic raffles and awards to the top finishers. 1st 400 registered runners/walkers receive t-shirts. To register online click here. Bib pick is on October 5th at Dartmouth Total Fitness from 1-5pm. Race Day registration begins at 8:00am and start time is 10:00am Proceeds benefit the Beckwith-Wiedemann Children’s Foundation.

 

FREE Edible Arrangements

Edible Arrangements is offering a free fruit cup to all Total Fitness Club members during the month of October, at the Fall River location. Present your key tag to the staff and enjoy! 

 

 

October Food Drive

Help support local community food pantries by making a donation. Each Total Fitness club will be hosting a food drive for the month of October. Any size donation is greatly appreciated!

TRX with Adriana Ferns

Break out from your old routine and join us for this 8 week TRX Suspension Training workshop - the bodyweight exercise that trains your body for how you move in life. Adriana will challenge you each time while keeping this program for all levels.

Fridays @ 6am-7am October 4th - November 22nd

Weight Loss Through Lifestyle Change with Adriana Ferns 

Are you ready to make a lifestyle change? Join Adriana for this 8 week weight loss workshop. It is designed to educate you on weight loss and how to keep it off,  the healthy way through diet and exercise. Yes, it will take commitment and a lot of hard work. You are worth it!.

Saturday @ 11am-12pm October 12th - November 30th

Cross Training Group with Adriana Ferns

This 6 week small group trraining workshop entails learning Olympic power lifts as well as interval training. Designed for lifters who have hit a plateau. With Adriana's energy and skills, you will break through the wall in no time.

Wednesday @ 1pm- 2pm or 3pm-4pm October 16th - November 20th

Bundle Up Bootcamp with Adriana Ferns

Get ready to stay on top of your workouts before the holidays! An 8 week bootcamp style training program incorporating weights and interval training. This will be sure to fire up the metabolism, strengthen the immune system, define muscles and create better overall health.

Total Fitness for Women with Kevin Levesque

Total Fitness for Women is an 8-week group training program under the supervision of our certified personal trainer, Kevin Levesque. The program is for women of all fitness levels who have a desire to be the best they can possibly be. Learn how to make your workouts more effective with workouts tailored to your needs and goals. Accountability and support from your trainer and group will help you reach your goals. Kevin will provide each participant with written workouts to follow outside training times, nutrition guidance for pre and post workout meals, and biweekly weigh ins and measurements to keep your progress on track.

Wednesday @ 6:30pm-7:30pm  October 9th - November 27th

BJ Voss Fundraiser - Train your Trainer

Total Fitness Clubs is deeply saddened by the recent loss of Officer BJ Voss - His hard work and commitment to our community will be greatly missed. For the month of October, Swansea Total Fitness will be holding a Train your Trainer event in memory of B.J. Voss. Members will pick a time to give a trainer of their choice one exercise to do. This event requires a minimum of a $5 donation, which will be sent to the Officer B.J. Voss Fundraiser. Members can also donate without participating in this event - See the front desk for more details on how you can help.

Hurricane Training with Erin

Join Erin for this 8 week program where you will burn fat, build muscle, and feel great! You will receive two group sessions per week, with nutritional advice. Metabolic strength training sessions that will bring you to the next level. Erin will also provide you with a workout for non-meeting days. Goal Setting + Accountability = Results!

Members that Inspire Us


Marianne Primiano has been a member of Bristol Total Fitness since February 2006. By doing different forms of cardio, she has lost a significant amount of weight. You can see Marianne in either spinning or in Sue D’s “Kickbox Scuplt”. After taking these classes and upping her cardio to 5 days a week, she feels and looks amazing. Even her obliques and abs are starting to show! When she isn’t working out, she enjoys horseback riding, walking her dog, and just simply socializing with her friends and family. Congrats Marianne and keep up the awesome job!
 
When Dave Rockcliffe first joined Swansea Total Fitness in 2003, his main goal was to get to a healthier weight. He weighed around 250 lbs, and really wanted to become less than 200 lbs. He plateaued at 205lbs, became discouraged and stopped going to the gym. In 2011, Dave decided to give the gym another try and reached his goal a year ago.  He is now 190 lbs!  Even though Dave lives a busy life, he always makes time for the gym.  He plans on maintaining his weight with a good mix of cardio and weights. Keep up the great work!
 

Lisa Correia has been a member of Seekonk Total Fitness since March 2011. Early 2013 Lisa decided it was time to set some health and fitness goals. She scheduled visits to the gym, to ensure that she was able to exercise even with a hectic schedule. Lisa's first goal was to lose 30 pounds, her reward would be to purchase training sessions if she could reach her goal by the summer. Shortly after reaching her goal she started training with Kevin Levesque and has lost 16 additional pounds = 46 pounds total! Keep up the great work Lisa, you are an inspiration to us all!

 
Julia Furtado-Lavoie has been a member of Dartmouth Total Fitness since the merge with Revolution in August. In 2006 she decided to lose some post-marital weight and succeeded at 62lbs! Julia kept the weight off by starting slow, mindful eating, and schedules her workouts as appointments not to be missed! Julia comes in for classes knowing that she has the support of many of the group fitness instructors, “The instructors keep you accountable.” Julia appreciates all the staff and it's time we appreciate her! We love her positive attitude and perseverance. Thank you Julia, you are a great Member of the Month!
