This 8-week program is built around the strength and cardiovascular conditioning aspect to building muscle, gaining strength and burning fat. A co-ed program for anyone looking to improve his or her overall fitness and to be pushed out of their comfort zone. Workouts will include many different types of equipment like kettlebells, plyometric boxes, sandbags, rowers, battle ropes and much more. Weekly fitness and nutrition tips will be provided. Are you in need of some fitness N-Spiration? Join Julie for this 6-week group training that will motivate you to achieve your health and wellness goals. She will challenge you with interval workouts with a variety of equipment to improve your strength and cardiovascular fitness. Enjoy working out with fellow participants to push you to the next level of fitness. The program will include a: fitness assessment, weigh-in at the beginning and end of the program along with a weekly email with fit tips and recipes. Julie will N-Spire you to believe fitness is fun! Total Fitness for Women is an 8-week group-training program under the supervision of our certified personal trainer, Stacia Abdow. The program is for women of all fitness levels who have a desire to be the best they can possibly be. Learn how to make your workouts more effective with workouts tailored to your needs and goals. Accountability and support from your trainer and group will help you reach your goals. Peter and Margaux Berthiaume joined Dartmouth Total Fitness in June, 2015. They attend the gym 5-7 days per week. Margaux enjoys her one-on-one sessions with Personal Trainer, Stacia Abdow, but she especially loves going to the gym with her Dad. When Margaux first joined DTF, she could barely do a push-up. With consistent training and a healthy lifestyle, she is now in the best shape of her life. Join this 8-week progressive strength-training program for women focusing on all aspects of fitness including cardiovascular & muscular endurance, muscular strength, flexibility, and body composition. Participants will enjoy the camaraderie of working with a group in a fun and encouraging atmosphere to achieve results. Workouts will consist of weight, balance and flexibility training with cardio intervals to focus on core strength. All fitness levels welcome. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Weight Loss Clinic with Walter Medeiros

Participants will undertake a 10-week program that will combine personalized dietary guidelines for each individual along with a weekly group training session which will help build camaraderie amongst participants which will help you overcome many obstacles. Also included, weekly weigh-ins followed by a “group therapy” session to ultimately lose as much weight safely as well as to allow for the greatest amount of success to keep the weight off.

Classes are based on fitness level, participants must contact Walter prior to the program at waltermedeiros@totalfitnessclubs.com. Space is limited, participants must sign up 1 week in advance and pay for 1/2 of the program to reserve a spot. (Friday - min. 3 max. 6 participants) (Saturday - min. 3 max. 8 participants)

Erica Medeiros joined Swansea Total Fitness in April 2019. She works out 4 days a week, enjoys spin classes, and trains with Laurie Roderick. Before joining, Erica suffered with depression and low self-esteem. Since joining, she has lost 43 pounds, a ton of inches and is two pant sizes smaller than before. Erica’s favorite quote to live by is, “It’s not a race, it’s a journey”. She thanks Laurie for guiding her through her workouts, but also making her stronger mentally and emotionally. Erica can confidently say she has pushed out of her comfort zone and is excited for the accomplishments ahead. Keep up the awesome work, Erica!!

Private sessions are the perfect way to individualize your Yoga practice along with making it ideal for your body and mind. Meal plans; a grocery list, workouts, and weekly weigh-ins/body fat measurements will be given throughout the program. Gayle Twaddle joined Bristol Total Fitness in early 2019. She consistently attends her favorite classes, Silver Sneakers and Senior Fitness three days a week. Gayle credits the classes and the fun group of ladies with “keeping her sane!” Her terrific health and fitness tip is to “just show up.” Gayle shares that attending the group exercise classes have helped her health both mentally and physically. She kindly added that the gym staff has been wonderful and that instructor, Sue DeFusco, is “the best ever!” Our best to Gayle in her continued commitment to health and wellness!

Angela Dimartino joined Swansea Total Fitness in October 2018. She was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis 25 years ago, but in 10 short months, she has made drastic changes and continues to pursue her progress and success. Angela comes to the gym twice a week and also trains with Jim Nolan. She has gained a stronger balance without holding onto an object for support. “Every day I struggle to get out of bed, but thanks to Jim, I am stronger today than I was yesterday” Angela thanks Jim for making her feel comfortable and helping her become stronger physically and mentally. Joe and Paul Pallatroni joined Dartmouth Total Fitness in July 2018. They attend the gym three times per week and always look forward to “Chest Day”. The way these guys support each other is really a sight to see. Paul has lost 60 pounds over the last two years and Joe continuously breaks PR’s on bench. Arthur Lawrence joined Bristol Total Fitness in December 2009. He is committed to working out of 3-4 times per week. Nine years ago, Arthur decided to focus on his health and fitness. He joined the gym, started working with a nutritionist at Evolution Nutrition and lost 45 lbs. Arther has maintained terrific health and fitness. He recommends preparing a normal-size plate of food, then splitting it in half and saving that other half for the next meal. Arthur follows this routine with his meals, and it has worked successfully for both losing the weight and keeping it off. His fitness tip: “Strive each day to maintain your health and fitness.”

Karen Dee joined Dartmouth Total Fitness in September 2011. She attends the gym 4-5 times per week. Fitness has been a part of Karen's life for over 30 years, only taking time off for the birth of her children and a knee surgery! This 8-week results driven strength training program for men focuses on total body fitness. Walter uses the science of muscle confusion to get you in the best shape of your life by constantly challenging your body with new moves each week. Weight Loss Clinic with Walter Medeiros

Participants will undertake a 10-week program that will combine personalized dietary guidelines for each individual along with a weekly group training session which will help build camaraderie amongst participants which will help you overcome many obstacles. Also included, weekly weigh-ins followed by a “group therapy” session to ultimately lose as much weight safely as well as to allow for the greatest amount of success to keep the weight off.

Classes are based on fitness level, participants must contact Walter prior to the program at waltermedeiros@totalfitnessclubs.com. Space is limited, participants must sign up 1 week in advance and pay for 1/2 of the program to reserve a spot. (Friday - min. 3 max. 6 participants) (Saturday - min. 3 max. 8 participants)

MEMBERS THAT INSPIRE US

Tracy Koutros joined Swansea Total Fitness in 2012. She attends the gym 5 times a week and trains with Laurie Roderick. Tracy just recently retired from the E. Providence Police Department, after 31 years. She has managed to maintain her busy lifestyle while losing 37 lbs and 5 sizes. Tracy reminds others to “not worry too much about the scale”, she knows it is easier said than done. She encourages others to focus on themselves and to not dwell on the success of others, your journey is your own. Tracy is happy she stuck with her routine and is looking forward to her upcoming Tough Mudder in Boston. Congratulations!

MEMBERS THAT INSPIRE US

Madeline Toste joined Swansea Total Fitness in 2014. In her mid-40’s she began working out because she genuinely enjoyed it. In May of 2014, Madeline was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer. Her world as she knew it changed and there was no more time for the gym. In January of 2017, Madeline decided that enough was enough and she was ready to make fitness changes and began to train with Walter Medeiros. He has been her motivation to get her life back to pre-cancer days. Madeline states: “I will not accept: ‘you know, you are getting older’ as a reason for not being the best I can be”. Congratulations!

Chris DaSilva joined Dartmouth Total Fitness in February 2011. He attends the gym 3-4 times per week. The most rewarding part of his routine is controlling his diet. The physical gains he’s acquired since altering his eating habits have come much quicker. Chris is in better shape now than he was ten years ago, due to his dedication to fitness and proper nutrition. A quote that helps him through leg day especially, is “The stronger the tree trunk, the stronger the tree!” Chris believes that staying motivated is easier when you pick a goal that has nothing to do with personal appearance.
